The Sherpa cultural trek is specially designed to provide trekkers a depth knowldege and understanding about the culture of Sherpa people. On this trek, we visit Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries in the Everest region (the homeland of Sherpas). The Sherpa people are one of the most famous ethnic groups of Nepal. They are world widely recognized due to their amazing contribution in the field of mountaineering. The trek starts with an exciting flight to the mountain airstrip at Lukla, from where we follow in the footsteps of famous mountaineers who have accomplished expedition trips to Mt. Everest and other world’s famous mountain peaks.
During this cultural trek we come across colorful prayer flags, mani walls and monasteries along the way with warm hospitality and friendliness of Sherpa people. The trail between lodges takes you through beautiful Sherpa villages with spectacular mountain views in the Khumbu area. After visiting monasteries, witnessing sherpa cultural and festivals, listening to their music you will leave Nepal with a lasting impression of the most famous mountain people in the world. This is a moderate trek and would be an ideal option for the first time trekkers at homely atmosphere.
