Overview

Nagarkot is located on the northeastern rim of the Kathmandu valley at an elevation of approximately 2175m. The place historically, used to serve as summer retreat for the royal family and many other aristocrats from Kathmandu. Nagorkot is renowned throughout Asia for sunrise and sunset views along with towering mountains. The mountains views like; Mt. Everest, Manaslu, Gauri Shankar and many others snow capped peaks that can be seen from here are incredible. Besides that its favorable climatic condition also makes it the very ideal getaway for holidaying and honeymooning as well as for one who wants to make a short hike on the ridge of the valley.
