Overview

The hidden valley trek starts from Simikot which is situated at an elevation of 2910 meters and climbs up to Nyalu La (4950m). And make a loop back to Simikot via Limi valley through scenic landscape. This is tough but rewarding trek that offers the opportunity to meet the friendly villagers of upper Humla. Visit the monasteries that are 400-1000 years old and experience the unique culture of the past still in practice. Added to this is scenery of pine-forested Karnali gorge and beautiful Saipal and Nalakankad mountain range. The area untouched by modern changes is believed to be the present form of mythical Shangri-la. Limi is the only place, where you can see fresh Tibetan culture and costume because of their cultural and matrimonial relationship with west Tibet. Many Tibetan culture and monasteries were destroyed in Cultural Revolution but Limi valley lying inside Nepal was not affected at all. It is like a small Tibet or Lo-manthang in Upper Mustang.

During June,July, August while monsoon rains are drenching most of the Nepali countryside, the Limi valley, which falls in the rain shadow, is considerably drier. Apart from misty mountain views and lush green vegetation, the valley offers other splendid sights and scents as wildflowers, indigenous herbs and flowering buckwheat, mustard grow with the season. This is an ideal time to visit for travelers who dislike crowds, enjoy solitary walks and want more interactions with local inhabitants.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day for trek preparation
Day 03: Flight to Nepalgunj. Overnight at hotel
Day 04: Flight to Simikot (2950 m) / Overnight at Camp
Day 05: Trek to Kermi (2700 m)
Day 06: Trek to Yalbang Gumba (3000 m)
Day 07: Trek to Tumkot (3100 m)
Day 08: Trek to Yari (4000 m) and camp in a field
Day 09: Explore in and around Yari village to acclimatize
Day 10: Trek to Shivshiv (4200 m)
Day 11: Trek to Nara La 4500m / Hilsa 3700 m camp in the nice field by the Humla Karnali River, After Lunch Rest Day OR Trip to Tibetan Sher market.
Day 12: Trek to Manepema (3900 m)
Day 13: Trek to Haljee (3600 m)
Day 14: Trek to Gombayok
Day 15: Trek to Takchhe
Day 16: Trek to Sakya Khola
Day 17: Trek to Gyuokharka
Day 18: Gyuokharka round. Early morning climb Gyuokharka round (5000m), Enjoy the wonderful view of the surrounding Himalayas, Mansarovar Lake and back to Camp
Day 19: Trek to Takchhe
Day 20: Trek to Talung Khola Valley
Day 21: Trek to Nyalu Lagna (5000 m) / Dharamsala
Day 22: Trek to Kermi
Day 23: Trek to Pani Nyaula
Day 24: Trek to Simikot
Day 25: Fly back to Nepalgunj then connecting flight to Kathmandu / Overnight at hotel
Day 26: Free Day in Kathmandu for Shopping,
Day 27: Transfer to airport for journey back home
