Overview

Ghalegaun is an outstanding tourist destination in the Annapurna region. This trek is named after a model village to experience the typical culture and lifestyles of the Gurung people. Their traditional customs and cultural activities are still in practice. One can see how the local people use traditional different types musical instruments and perform folk dances wearing traditional dresses. Being just newly developed tourist destination for foreign tourists, there are only basic facilities in the village. You will be provided the clean accommodation and local foods eating together with local family. We organize home stay and camping. This is the best choice to travel here with your family and kids. This place is also known as a “HONEY HUNTING” destination. Here, Honey hunting takes place during the winter.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel 

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing / free day

Day 03: Drive / Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, overnight at hotel

Day 04: Drive to  Begnas Lake & trek to Laxmi Bazaar

Day 05: Trek to Baglungpani

Day 06: Trek (1595m) to Ghalegaun

Day 07: Rest/ Exploration day at Ghalegaun

Day 08: Trek to Khudi (790m)

Day 09: Trek to Bensisahar(760m)

Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu

Day 11: Free day in Kathmandu for shopping
Day 12: Transfer to airport for journey back home
